Privacy Agreement 

As part of the recruitment process Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning (”Humber College”)  collects your personal information under the legal authority of the Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology Act, 2002 and in accordance with Ontario’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA). Your personal information will be used by Humber College for the purpose of evaluating your suitability for the position.

 

For some roles, we are required to conduct background checks or vulnerable sector screenings. Where we seek this information, we do it because it is necessary for us in carrying out our obligations and exercise specific rights in relation to employment. Humber College may also collect personal information about you from third parties, such as references supplied by former employers. In those instances when we collect reference and third party feedback, we will only do so if we are planning to make a job offer to you.

 

We confirm that we will not use your data for any other purpose other than: (i) the recruitment process; (ii) employee record management; (iii) future employment opportunities for which you may be suited; and (iv) to comply with legal and regulatory requirements. If you give consent, you are free to withdraw consent at any time.

 

By submitting a job application and your resume you consent to the above collection, use and disclosure of your personal information by Humber College’s Human Resources department and authorized staff. You also consent to Humber College sending you electronic messages (including emails) concerning potential employment opportunities with Humber College.
